Kata Beach: features, hotels, things to do and where to eat. Restaurants and cafes in Phuket

25.10.2022

Kata beach, better known to you as simply Kata beach, is the most favorite for most vacationers in Phuket. Kata beach is where the bulk of tourists who come on package tours are concentrated. Despite the fact that Kata is considered to be a place for a quiet family holiday, it is full of entertainment venues, nightclubs and pubs.

This is not Anapa and not even the Crimea. This is Kata Beach in Phuket.

Beach and sea

Kata Yai beach is quite large, almost 2 km from one end to the other. You can walk along the shore to the opposite end in 40 minutes. Kata Beach is designed for an endless stream of people. The sandy part is wide, accommodates several sun loungers with umbrellas nearby.

Where to stay on Kata beach

  • Phuket Kata Resort
  • Kata Bai D
  • The Orchid House
  • Two Chefs Inn
  • The Charm Kata
  • The Melody Phuket

Crowds of tourists, crowds of children, many locals

I waited a long time for everyone to finally pass in order to take a picture of Slava

Cleanliness on the beach

Despite such a crowd, Kata somehow manages to remain a completely clean beach. There is practically no garbage in the sand, packages do not float in the sea. Sometimes, of course, some kind of cigarette butt will catch your eye or skins from fruits, but extremely rarely.

Green curly grass - decoration of the beach

Sand

The sand is ordinary, normal, not white, but not yellow either. It doesn’t creak underfoot, like on the next one, but it’s nice to walk.

Waves and sea

The first time we came to this beach was in mid-November. The season was just around the corner then. The waves were not just big, they looked intimidating.

Kata at the beginning of the season

In the peak and high season here, the sea has softened its temper and the waves have already become much smaller. During the winter months, in December, January and February, the sea is almost always calm. But once every 5-7 minutes, several medium-sized waves still pass, and then the sea calms down again.

Kata beach in high season

Where to swim on Katya

For ourselves, we noted that it is best to swim closer to the middle of the beach. Because there are a lot of tourists on the left side of the beach, and on the right side the water smells like sewage and it’s unpleasant to swim, but more on this feature of Kata beach a little later.

Far right end of the beach where the water stinks

Left end of the beach, crowded with tourists

Our opinion: Kata beach is not the best place for swimming in Phuket. Firstly, the water stinks, secondly, too many people, and thirdly, big waves. Although, many people like to jump in the waves. We used to love ourselves, but now, having read about all sorts of dangers, on the contrary, we prefer a calm sea so that we can swim in a relaxed way with pleasure, and not fight with the sea elements.

A good example of how swimming takes place on Katya

Few people pay attention to the placed signs saying that there are rip currents, rip currents, during which it is dangerous to swim. According to statistics, more people drown on Katya than on other beaches in Phuket. Although, on the neighboring Karon, there are also waves and the same dangerous current. I am still amazed how some parents let their very young children go splashing in the sea alone when it is so restless. Though not deep, but such waves are quite a bit enough to pick up the baby and pull him along.

Tourists

As you already understood, there are a lot of them. Kata is the main tourist lair. And whoever says that it is overpopulated with vacationers, Kata is currently unrivaled. So, if you want a noisy area, where you will hear peace only at night, then you are here.

Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach

Sunbeds and deck chairs on Katya were removed a few years ago. Now mattresses are used as sunbeds. The cost is 200 baht for 2 mats and an umbrella for the whole day. There is little natural shade, but before lunch you can find shade under the trees.

Where can I order a transfer from the airport?

We use the service - Kiwi Taxi
Ordered a taxi online, paid by card. We were greeted at the airport with a sign with our name on it. We were taken to the hotel in a comfortable car. You have already talked about your experience In this article.

Beach entertainment

There are all the standard water activities in Phuket - jet skis (jet skis), bananas, parachutes.

Entertainment is in demand here, and in order to fly over the sea on a parachute, you still need to wait for your turn. Those who want more than enough.

Merchants

Merchants and sellers of excursions have a place to roam. In general, the entire area of Kata only consists of stalls and shops with overpriced prices.

Cafes and restaurants. Where to eat on Katya

Tourist restaurants and cafes within walking distance, just go to the main road. On the right side there are inexpensive street cafes with prices as for locals. There are several 7-Elevens not far from the beach.

Cafes for every taste

It was very convenient to come up with the idea of putting macaques and tables right next to the beach. Prices on the beach are not as high as they could be. The cost of a dish is on average 70-100 baht. Drinks - 20 baht water, 30 cola, 30 coconut, 60 small beer, 100 large. In terms of nutrition, Kata beach is a big plus.

The road to the beach and the biggest stink river in Phuket

It would seem that everything seems to be well arranged on one of the most popular beaches in Phuket. If not for one unpleasant feature. I would like to draw your attention to the passage to the beach on the right side. Why is he so remarkable?

Kata Beach – 150 meters

Tourists have to walk along this narrow path with a shabby and painted fence every day. The inscriptions are in all languages, but native Russian prevails to a greater extent in the form: Dasha + Roma ... But this is all nothing compared to the river.

The most interesting thing is that here the largest smelly river in Phuket flows into the sea. When we go there, I close my nose. And the tourists pretend that they don't smell. Well, well, we know that it's not just that it smells bad, but it stinks terribly of hydrogen sulfide aromas. All this muddy dark sludge quietly merges into the sea in the far right corner of the beach.

But after all, such an amount of waste does not bother anyone that they get hung up on this. Everyone is happy with everything ... Well, we better take a dip

It has a good selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, massage parlors, nightclubs and hotels. Seething here night life, there are many beer bars (no go-go bars). While on the beach in the evening, it's hard not to notice these bars with loud music playing.

The beach is surrounded by hills covered with dense rainforest, not far from the coast is small island ok (Poo Island). Tourists can enjoy water skiing, parasailing, banana boat sailing, long tail boat tours, diving, snorkeling in the nearby coral reefs. Most of the hotels and guest houses are located in this area. Swimming on Kata Beach is safe, the bottom gently sinks into the water. The coral reef on the right side of the beach stretches towards Poo Island.

Kata Noi is a ten minute walk (less than 1 km) from Kata Yai. This is a smaller beach with a small number of hotels and restaurants, massage parlors and bars. There are many corals along the coastline south of the beach, suitable for snorkelling. To get to Kata Noi, take the narrow road over the hill from Kata Yai.

How to get there

Temple of Kata located on a country street (Patak Road) about a kilometer from Kata Beach. Not many tourists come here and it is very difficult to find any information about this temple on the Internet. But it is easy to find, just follow the sign for Wat Kittisangkaram and the road will lead to the temple.

Karon Viewpoint(Karon Viewpoint) - one of the most visited and photographed observation platforms in Phuket, is considered an iconic symbol of this island: blue sea, white sandy beaches, an exotic little island (Koh Poo) and the dark green hues of Phuket's hills. The inhabitants of the island call it Khao Saam Haad (Mountain of three beaches). For some reason, the local municipality officially renamed it "Karon Viewpoint", although the observation deck is closest to Kata Beach, not Karon. It is located on the road between Kata Beach (10 minutes drive) and Nai Harn Beach (also about 10 minutes drive).

What else. The local market is open on Thursdays in close proximity to the main Kata road. Here, locals buy fish, spices, vegetables and fruits. A small shopping area KT Plaza sells souvenirs and clothing.

Surfing. During the tourist season, Kata Beach is safe for swimming, but things change during the rainy season from April to September. At this time, it is popular among surfers due to the high waves. It even hosts surfing competitions. Surfboards can be rented from Phuket Surf (www.phuketsurf.com) at the far south end of the beach. The best waves for surfing at low tide.

Popular cafes, restaurants, bars

Kitchen Kata Beach. This very popular cafe mainly specializes in traditional Thai cuisine and is considered one of the best on Kata Beach. Don't expect to see fashionable decoration here and beautiful landscapes sea (cafe overlooking a busy street). Instead, expect very tasty Thai food, reasonable prices, great cocktails, good service, and cheerful smiles from the staff. All food is prepared in the open kitchen. They also have a nice bar and pool table. Free shuttle service for those staying in the Kata and Karon area.
Can recommend Thai cooking classes at this restaurant. The price of cooking classes includes transfer from the hotel to the restaurant and back. First, visit the local food market, purchase the necessary fruits and vegetables, then back to the restaurant. The chef prepares the food, you watch and then follow suit - cook delicious Thai dishes. When the dish is ready, you can eat it. Address: 100/1 Koktanod Road, Kata Beach, website www.thekitchenkata.com

Horn Grill Steakhouse. This upscale restaurant is divided into four separate sections, each with its own unique decor:

Outdoor Terrace (outdoor tables along the street)
Stylish Bistro (small cafe-restaurant serving simple meals)
Jazz Dining Room (restaurant with live jazz music)
Outdoor Tranquil Patio (inner courtyard restaurant, adjacent to jazz restaurant)

The menu features unusual dishes such as swordfish steaks, Cajun dishes (a symbiosis of French and southern US cuisines), but mostly large, juicy and very tasty agnus beef steaks, lamb, veal and other meats dominate . Cafeopera Live. Very good restaurant, great selection of delicious Thai food, great steaks, western food. What is interesting - all Thai food is 99 baht (about $ 3) per dish and everything is very tasty. Yes, the size of the dishes is small, but only 99 baht? If not enough, order 3 servings. But the main advantage of this institution is a delightful atmosphere with live music. Live music creates a relaxed atmosphere, and makes you come back here a second, third time. I think this restaurant owes a lot to its live music. Music keeps diners long after the meal is over. Opening hours: daily from 11:00 to 01:00. Address: Soi Melisa, Baan Kata Village.

Mom Tri's Kitchen. The menu consists of Thai and European dishes. Popular dishes include hot crab soufflé, tuna carpaccio, lobster, angus beef tenderloin. This not cheap restaurant is part of the fashionable Mom Tri's Villa Royale hotel. If you don't have enough money, Mom Tri's Kitchen is hardly the best option for dinner. If you want to spend money, welcome to Mom Tri's Kitchen. It has a great atmosphere, excellent service, a beautiful location, a truly delicious and unforgettable dinner. Table reservation recommended, dress code: smart casual. Address: 12 Kata Noi Road, Kata Beach, www.momtriphuket.com/mom-tri-kitchen.htm

IL Tagliere Da Massimo- a small Italian restaurant. IL Tagliere Da Massimo belongs to the category of "trattoria" - a type of establishment that differs from a classic restaurant with simplified service, lower prices and a more "home" atmosphere. A cozy atmosphere in a semi-open space with Italian artwork on the walls is one of the highlights of this restaurant. Il Tagliere da Massimo is famous for its variety of pizzas. From prosciutto pizza (ham pizza) to its vegetarian version, all the food is of excellent quality. Address: 94/96 Kata Center, Taina Road.

Eightfold Restaurant. This is a small family restaurant. Don't expect to see stylish decoration and expensive design here. This is one of those typical small Thai restaurants in a semi-open space, with fans instead of air conditioning, but tasty and cheap Thai food. The menu also includes Western dishes for those who cannot eat spicy Thai food. Address: 99 Katekwan Road, Kata Beach.

Duke's Sports Bar @ Kata. This is a popular sports bar in Kata. Rugby football, cricket, baseball, Formula 1 racing, motorcycle racing, golf or tennis - all sporting events can be watched live on 5 large flat-screen TVs. Staff announces upcoming sports events. The only downside is they don't cook food but it can be ordered from nearby restaurants next door. The staff will deliver food from neighboring restaurants at your request. Opening hours: 07:00-24:00, address: 182 Koktanode Road, Kata Beach, website www.boathousephuket.com

Lucky Tom's. This small and cozy family restaurant specializes in Thai and German cuisine. A married couple runs a restaurant, their daughter serves in the restaurant, and their mother-in-law cooks in the kitchen. The interior is a bit like a German beerstube (a pub that specializes in beer). The environment is quite simple, but the restaurant is always full of customers, which is a testament to the quality of the food. The restaurant is aimed at tourists, the menu is translated into several languages. After your meal, (or before) visit Baipho Massage just across the street. Address: 90 Taina Road, Kata Center, website http://luckytoms-phuket.com

Red Chair. European cuisine is served in many Thai restaurants, and Red Chair is no exception, but this restaurant has made a name for itself with quality Thai cuisine. This is a classic Thai roadside restaurant. The design is quite simple, no frills. The main reasons why many locals eat here is that it is delicious and very cheap. The food is half the price of most tourist-oriented restaurants, but the quality is much better. Yes, you can criticize that it is not located on the beach, there is no special atmosphere, however, the food here is second to none. If you are interested in real Thai food, take a taxi and come here. The restaurant is not located on the main street, but about 500m up from the main Chalong-Karon Road. Open from 10:00 to 21:00 daily. Address: Khoktanode Road, Kata Yai Beach.

Bars/restaurants with viewing platforms

While in Kata, indulge in a line of restaurants/bars with breathtaking views of the coast. andaman sea. A short drive from Kata Beach towards Nai Harn village on the Kata Noi Road up a steep hill you will see parked cars near three restaurants/bars. These 3 bars/restaurants next to each other are built along the side of the road on a hillside. After Beach Bar was the first, then a second bar was built next door called Small Viewpoint, the last to appear was Baan Chom View. Not far from this place is the observation platform Karon Viewpoint. From here one of the best natural scenery in Phuket opens up, which you can enjoy with a glass of beer or a glass of cocktail at the moment of sunset. Brief description below.

After Beach Bar. Far from being a fancy bar, it serves seafood and Thai food, but the food itself is not even worth mentioning. The best part about After Beach Bar is sitting at a table on the side of the cliff and watching the sun go down. Live music in the style of reggae and rock and roll is sometimes played in the After Beach Bar in the evenings. On other days when there is no live music and after sunset, there is nothing else to do here. Go for a look, but don't spend money on food. Buy a beer, watch the sunset and then go eat somewhere else. Overall, this is a very mediocre establishment in almost every aspect, with the exception of one obvious fact: the fabulous view. Location: On the road between Kata and Rawai, directly above Kata Noi Beach.

small viewpoint. Small Viewpoint is actually not that small anymore, and much better decorated than the After Beach Bar. It has a better reputation than its neighbor, better service, although it offers exactly the same panorama. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than Afterbeach. Location: On the road between Kata and Rawai, directly above Kata Noi Beach.

Baan Chom View. The last of the three restaurants/bars is Baan Chom View. It differs significantly from its neighbors in high-class design, furnished with beautiful furniture. Designed for 150 people, this restaurant is even inappropriate to compare with its neighbors. With an extensive seafood, Thai and Western menu, this is a recommended place for a romantic dinner. A little crowded during sunset but offers a good view for all guests. Open daily from 11:00 to 23:30. Location: On the road between Kata and Rawai, directly above Kata Noi Beach.

Sabai Corner. "Sabai" in Thai means "happy", "Corner" in English means "corner". Sabai Corner is a famous bar and restaurant located just after Kata Noi Beach and Kata Viewpoint along the road towards Siam Beach. Located on a hillside overlooking the beaches of Kata Noi, Kata Yai, Karon, Koh island Pu and the back side of the Big Buddha monument. Sabai Corner is not at all a fine dining restaurant, but serves up pretty decent pizza in a wood-fired oven, as well as a range of delicious Thai dishes. Far from being as crowded as the three bars/restaurants above, but with just as good a view. Sit on the outdoor terrace and listen to the gentle lapping of the waves on granite rocks much lower - a great pleasure for any vacationer. Opening hours: 10:00 - 22:00, location: 1.5 km from the Karon viewpoint towards Siam Beach, follow the signs, website http://sabaicorner.com

Two chefs. Restaurants Two Chefs is located in three popular places in Phuket: Karon, Kata and Kata Center. The menu mainly consists of Swedish, Thai and Mexican cuisine. Two Chefs, as the name suggests, is run by two chefs. Both chefs are from Sweden. The service, as usual in Swedish restaurants in Phuket, is very good. The restaurant has a capacity of 130 seated guests, prepares very tasty steaks, the meat for which is imported from Australia. On certain days in the evening you get the opportunity to enjoy dinner with live music. Not as cheap as other Thai restaurants in the area but good food costs a few extra baht. Opening hours: 11:00-23:00. Address: 229 Koktanod, Kata Beach, opposite the Boathouse Resort (shortly before the hill that leads to Kata Noi). The second restaurant is located in the Kata Center opposite the Peach Blossom Hotel near Dino Park. Site www.twochefs.com

Kwong Shop Seafood. Specializes in Thai cuisine and seafood. Fish is the specialty of this establishment. They invite you to choose fish from the display and cook it to your liking. Kwong Shop Seafood is run by owner named Kwong and his family members. The restaurant is very famous for the funny "Mr. OK" (owner) who often personally greets guests and helps with the choice of fish, style of cooking (Thai, steamed, fried, etc.). The owner pasted over 2 walls with money from all over the world, probably collected from his grateful customers. The premises of the restaurant, to put it mildly, does not cause pleasant emotions, but do not judge the appearance. Despite the nondescript appearance, the food here is very tasty and cheap. Address: 65 Taina Road, Kata Beach.

capannina. Capannina is translated into Russian as "little hut", but in fact, this Italian restaurant has a rather impressive size, incomparable with the "little hut". Restaurant - Pizzeria Capannina was founded in 2001 to realize the idea of its owner "to recreate a corner of Italy with the flavors of traditional Italian cuisine." The main ingredients for cooking Italian dishes are imported from Italy. There are more than 25 types of mainly Italian wines to choose from. Why does Capannina have so many visitors? The recipe is simple: quality cuisine at affordable prices. During the low tourist season, Kata is quiet and deserted, but even at this time Capannina has a lot of regular customers. Why not proof of excellent Italian cuisine? Pizza is known for its big size. Address: 30/9 Kata Road (southern part of Kata), website www.capannina-phuket.com

Re Ka Ta Beach Club- stylish night club with a restaurant on Kata Beach with a focus on a healthy lifestyle. It serves as the base for the annual King's Cup Regatta (the largest competition in Asia). Re Ka Ta Beach Club is committed to the concept of "healthy eating" with a strong emphasis on seafood, all food is cooked below 42 degrees Celsius, all ingredients are fresh and without preservatives - this is the hallmark of the restaurant's cuisine. In addition to the restaurant, the club includes a bar, spa center, swimming pool.

Re Ka Ta Beach Club is part of the Boathouse Resort. Entrance from the side of the beach terrace leading to the various sections of the club. The restaurant itself is partly covered, but the most enticing tables are set on the beach with great views of the coast and the small island. The prices are much higher than the bar average, but the quality comes at a price.

Re Ka Ta Beach Club is located next to the Boathouse Resort on the south end of Kata Beach. If coming from Patong or Karon, turn right at the T-junction at the end of the road and 300 meters down the road towards the beach you will see Re Ka Ta Beach Club. Opening hours: from 09:00 to 24:00 daily, address: 182-184 Koktanode Road, Kata Beach, website http://rekataphuket.com

Kampong Kata Hill. Part museum, part gallery, part restaurant, visiting Kampong Kata Hill is a great experience. Kampong Kata Hill serves European cuisine, but mainly the restaurant specializes in popular Thai dishes. The main feature of this restaurant is the interior design. Buddha statues, replica antiques, snakes and ceramics are on display throughout this quirky two-story restaurant. Not quite a museum yet, but pretty close. Illuminated statues, red Chinese lanterns, soft lights and mirrors all create an extraordinary setting. It comes as no surprise that the owners of the restaurant run several antique shops. This is a good restaurant for a romantic dinner. Situated on top of a small hill in the center of Kata Centre. Kampong Kata Hill has two entrances, one on the Karon Road side next to Starbucks, and the other on Kata's main street, Taina Road. Address: 4 Karon Road, Kata Centre. Alternative entrance from Taina Road.

Sky Bar. One of Kata's most popular bars, Ska Bar is located at the far south end of Kata Yai Beach. Built on huge granite boulders, it offers great views along the coast. Ska Bar organizes large events with good live music in the style of rhythm and blues, hip-hop, reggae, fire shows in the evening. Nice place to sit, have a drink, watch the sunset west coast. If you get hungry, you can order food in one of the nearby restaurants. The only drawback is that Ska Bar is small, at times of a large influx of visitors, this institution is overcrowded. But if this does not play any role for you, then you have nothing to worry about. Ska Bar is open until 02:00 daily. Address: 186/12 Kata Beach.

Accommodation

All hotels in Kata on booking.com

I lived at the Sugar Palm Grand Hotel ( good hotel review to which I will write a little later), it is located in the Kata area, 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. The beach is good - you can take a paid sunbed (200 baht [about 400 rubles]), but I advise you not to overpay, buy a beach mat (the concentration of the latter near the beach increases geometrically) and enjoy the beach at no extra cost.

The entry into the sea is good and the beach itself is quite clean (for Thailand, a solid five). The waves are not high, and they don’t happen often, if you are eager to “catch a wave”, I advise you to go to Kata Noi – you will definitely like it there. Of the minuses - very small jellyfish that sting unpleasantly like to hunt on this beach.

Everyone knows that in Thailand you need to be very careful in terms of food - it is very easy to get poisoned and you can get yourself into quite serious problems. Here are some practical tips on how to protect yourself:

  1. Don't drink tap water, that's the worst thought you can think of. Despite the problems with tap water, bottled water costs mere pennies (especially compared to Russia, where there are no such problems, a paradox) - a small bottle of Nestle 0.5 ml will cost 5 baht (about 10 rubles), 1.5 liters can be buy for 20 baht (about 40 rubles). It is advisable to brush your teeth with bottled water.
  2. You should not take drinks with ice, because most likely the ice is made from the same tap water. I’ll make an exception for popular international chains - frappuccino at Strabucks or cola with ice at MacDonalds, if you really want to, you can drink it, but it’s better not to risk it.
  3. Read a couple of reviews on TripAdvisor before you go to eat in a new place, our compatriots love to share negative experiences. A little lower I will name you three cafes that I personally checked, two of which you can safely visit.
  4. Do not spare money and buy two tubes of Enterosgel, which will help you out if poisoning cannot be avoided. As a preventive measure, take 1.5 tablespoons an hour before or after meals twice a day (for more details, see the instructions for the product).

Where to eat near Kata Beach? And where is NOT worth it.

1. Outdoor Restaurant. So, let's start with the fact that this is NOT a restaurant, but an ordinary rather nice and cozy cafe on the street. We dined here every evening throughout the 11 days of rest, no one was ever poisoned and everyone was satisfied. A very extensive menu consisting of three hundred (!) Items, a good selection of drinks and fast service distinguish this cafe from the rest. The prices on the menu are moderate - you can eat deliciously for 300 baht, you can for 600, it all depends on personal taste preferences.

What to eat?

  1. Croutons with garlic and cheese(snacks)
  2. Shrimps in batter(snacks)
  3. Rice with shrimps in pineapple(Thai dishes)
  4. Rice with shrimp(shrimp dishes)
  5. Shrimp Pad Thai(Thai dishes)
  6. Grilled shrimp(shrimp dishes)
  7. Shrimps with white sauce(dishes with shrimp, in the photo option for 400 baht)
  8. Lobster(lobster dishes)
  9. Shrimp cutlets ( thai food)

How to find? If you go from the beach, turn right at the fountain with elephants and walk along the road, the cafe is located at the crossroads, there is a showcase with seafood at the entrance.

2. Gastone. A decent Italian restaurant for those who get tired of Thai food (or miss European food). Delicious thin-crust pizza, good salads and decent pasta can brighten up your evening. Attention! Small pizzas are not small at all, ask the waiter to demonstrate how big they are before ordering. Of the minuses, the prices are quite high - two pizzas + two sprites cost me 700 baht (about 1,400 rubles).

How to find? If you go from the beach, cross the road at the fountain with elephants and go to the left, you will be guided by a large pizza oven.

3. Street food - Thai pancakes. I say right away that when you take food on the street in Thailand, you take a big risk, but this place has been checked by me and you can take a risk. Try banana+Nutella, mango and coconut pancakes. This is love at first sight!

In general, food prices on Kata Beach are relatively low, but like many Phuket beaches, there are restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets. If you want to dine in a luxurious restaurant, then you need to be prepared to pay a decent amount for dinner.

Prices for food in hotels on Kata Beach

If you are planning to eat at your hotel, you should be prepared for high food spending. In the most luxurious hotels, a more or less normal dinner will cost you about 1000 baht per person. For this money, you can order a salad, some dish and a drink (juice, beer or a glass of wine). Want to enjoy a full dinner with a bottle of inexpensive wine? Then your costs will be 3000-4000 baht for two.

Prices for food in a cafe on Kata Beach

You will find inexpensive cafes in any part of the Kata Beach area, with the exception of the coastal strip, where there are only expensive restaurants and cafes. Prices in such cafes can vary markedly. If you want to spend as little money on food as possible, then look for unattractive establishments with cheap furniture. In such places, you can have a good dinner for two for 600-800 baht. For example, rice with chicken, shrimp or pork in such establishments costs about 120-150 baht, salads are offered at a price of 80-150 baht, soups - 100-150 baht, pizzas - 200-400 baht. As for drinks, the cost of beer in inexpensive cafes on Kata Beach averages 80-90 baht for a small bottle and 130-140 baht for a large bottle.
Of course, there are also many cafes with higher prices on Kata Beach, but the atmosphere in such cafes is completely different.

Prices for food at the macarons and at the Kata Beach market
