The village of Yuryevets is located 8 versts from the city of Vladimir along the Moscow highway; it actually consists of two villages - Yurievets and Varlamov Pochinok, but the latter name is little known. The village of Varlamov Pochinok was once the patrimony of the Moscow Patriarchs, and the village of Yuryevets was until 1861 a landlord. Both villages have up to 90 houses. There was no elementary school here - according to the school network, these villages are ranked as a zemstvo school in the village. A sleeve located more than three miles away.
His Eminence, His Eminence Alexy, passing repeatedly in the early autumn of 1914 through the village of Yuryevets, entered into paternal conversation with the children of this village, and from these conversations he learned that some of the children did not attend school at all, that the children attending the Zemstvo school in the village of Rukave were burdened distance distance especially in bad weather, in autumn slush, winter cold. Vladyka reacted paternally to this spiritual need of the local population and decided to help him by setting up a special parochial school here at the expense of the funds he had found. This his archpastoral decision he expressed to the Diocesan Observer and Bp. school council. When this decision of Vladyka was conveyed to the peasants of the village of Yuryevets, they accepted it with a feeling of deepest gratitude and readily took three land for the construction of a school - in the eastern and western ends of the village and in the middle of it. Vladyka himself took the trouble to go to the village of Yuryevets and personally chose and blessed the place for the school. The place was chosen to the west of the village on high mountain from which the distant and beautiful view. - Since the village of Yuryevets, according to the school network, is assigned to the Zemstvo school in the village of Rukava, in connection with the establishment of a church school here, communication with local Zemstvo institutions was required. The chairman of the zemstvo assembly and the district school council responded to a request from the Diocesan School Council that there were no obstacles to the organization of a church school.
When these preliminary steps were taken, the diocesan architect was instructed to draw up a plan and estimate for the school building. In December 1914, the plan and estimate of the school building were drawn up by the Diocesan Architect. Vladyka approved the plan of the building in the Russian style, very original and beautiful. The classroom is designed for 50-60 students, with a spacious dressing room, a comfortable apartment for the teacher and a special room for the caretaker.
In January 1915, a special commission was formed by His Eminence to supervise the construction of the school. The members of the Commission included: Fr. Archimandrite Vladimir of the Bishops' House of Vladimir, Diocesan Supervisor of parochial schools V. G. Dobronravov, Dean of the churches of the city of Vladimir Archpriest John Uvarov, Rev. about. Vladimir district observer of the parochial schools of St. John Bystrovzorov, local dean priest. O. P. Lavrov and two representatives from the peasants of the village. Yurievets.
Upon approval by the Lord of the plan, Eparch. learned. The council established a special construction commission, which immediately began to work.
Monasteries with forest dachas willingly donated forests for the construction of a school building. Funding for the construction was provided by the Vladimir Bishops' House. Building material was purchased and taken to the site, and carpentry work began in Lent. By Easter, the log house was almost ready. After Easter, as soon as the ground thawed a little, they began to dig ditches for the foundation and lay out the last one.
« Laying of the building of the parochial school in the village. Yurievets, Vladimirsky district.
On April 23, 1915, with special solemnity, in the presence of His Eminence, His Eminence Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, Chairman of the Vladimir Diocesan School Council, His Grace. Eugene, Bishop of Yuryevsky, and other members of the central school administration, the laying of the building of the central parish school in the village was completed. Yurievna.
Such a solemn laying of the building of the parochial school, the presence of Vladyka His Eminence Alexy himself at this laying is explained by the special conditions for the establishment of a church school in this village.
For the local population, this laying of the school building became a solemn holiday. Long before the start of the ceremony, crowds of dressed-up people began to gather at the place of laying, then all the members of the construction commission arrived. By 4 p.m., His Eminence Vladyka himself arrived, along with His Grace Eugene. The local priest met Vladyka in vestments and with St. With a cross, and then representatives of the local population met Vladyka with bread and salt. Vladyka thanked for the meeting and, having blessed the bread, ordered that it be divided among the future schoolchildren. - After that, a prayer service was performed for the consecration of the building being built. After the consecration of the water, a laying was done in the eastern corner of the foundation. A metal plaque was laid here with the following text: “On April 23, 1915, this building of the parochial school in the village of Yuryevets, Vladimir province and county, was laid, arranged with the blessing of His Eminence Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, at the expense of funds found by him, for education in the spirit of the Orthodox faith of the local population. Vladyka was the first to lay a stone in the foundation of the building, followed by Reverend. Eugene and members of the construction commission. - Prayer ended with the established longevity. - At the end of the prayer, Vladyka addressed the assembled people with an animated speech. He expressed his joy at the laying of the school building, an educational institution that would put an end to darkness and ignorance, then found out that the future school would not only teach literacy, would provide knowledge, it would enlighten and educate the younger generation in the spirit of the Orthodox faith and the Church, and such learning is the most valuable and lofty; all knowledge and enlightenment must be created on it. The people listened with concentrated attention to the words of the Lord. In conclusion, Vladyka wished success in completing the work begun and blessed the people.
So the beginning of the church school in the village of Yurievna was laid. At the same time, it is impossible not to express special gratitude to our Most Reverend Vladyka, for only he, his initiative, belongs to the organization of this school ”(Vladimir Diocesan Vedomosti. Unofficial Department. No. 18th. May 2, 1915).
In August 1915, a beautiful school building in the spirit of ancient Russian architecture, 24-18 ars in size. was already ready. At the beginning of September, the first full admission of children to school was made.
The Diocesan Committee on the Issue of the Jubilee Celebration of St. Prince Vladimir, chaired by His Eminence Archbishop Alexy, in its meeting on September 11, decided to name the new Yuryevets School of Knyaz-Vladimirskaya in memory of the 900th anniversary of the death of St. Prince Vladimir.
At the celebration of the consecration of the new building arrived: His Eminence initiator and builder of the school, Archbishop Alexy, Chairman of the Vladimir Diocesan School Council, His Grace Evgeny Bishop of Yuryevsky, Fr. Archimandrite of the Vladimir Bishops' House - Vladimir, Fr. Rector of the Seminary Archimandrite Pavel, Members of the Consistory - Fr. O. Archpriests: M. Speransky, V. Bogolyubov, M. Belyaev, Chairman of the Diocesan Women's School Fr. Prot. A. A. Vasiliev, M. M. Abbess and Treasurer of the Vladimir Knyaginin Convent, city and local Fr. O. Deanery, Diocesan and county Supervisors of church schools, members of the diocesan school council, Secretary of the Consistory A. V. Grozdov, Chairman of the Vladimir Treasury Chamber - A. A. Shipov, Representative from the Vladimir district zemstvo L. N. Kapatsinsky, Representative from the county school council, pl. others and all the inhabitants of the village. Yurievets and Varlamov repair.
Local about. dean, with the participation of Fr. protodeacon, a prayer service was performed for the entry into a new house with the pronouncement of many years to the Royal House, the Holy Synod, His Eminence Archbishop Alexy and His Grace Bishop Eugene, the builders of the school, those in charge, teaching and studying in it. The choir of children - new schoolchildren - sang under the direction of the county Supervisor of Church Schools and the direction of a local teacher. After the prayer service, all the rooms were sprinkled with holy water and His Eminence, His Eminence Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, declared the Yuryevets school open.
In a speech addressed to those present, the Archpastor greeted the members of the Diocesan School Council, the children and residents of that village with modest triumph. I dare to think, Vladyka said approximately, that in this modest celebration the joys of all of us converge. You children rejoice that from now on you will receive an education in your native village, in front of your parents, you will not have to run three miles in the freezing winter time. You, the parents, are certainly glad that now you have your own school, your children will study in front of you, in front of your eyes. We, fathers and brethren, cannot but rejoice that we have opened up the opportunity for children to be enlightened in elementary school. No need to be embarrassed by the modesty of this celebration. Often big events ripen in conditions of insignificant, imperceptible. Who knows that any outstanding person who will glorify Russia and his village will not come out of this school. I deeply believe in the genius of the Russian people. But he is not yet developed, he is like a fabulous sleeping princess, waiting for his knight, who would wake him up. But in order to awaken the genius of the Russian people, it is necessary to approach it in accordance with the basic properties of its character. The main features of the Russian character are the desire for the beautiful, the good. It is enough to glance briefly at the history of the Russian State in order to be convinced of this. Even at the dawn of its life, the Russian people, this savage, in the opinion of their Western neighbors, separated from them by a wall of dense forests, driven by the desire for beauty, the order of life, goes to the Varangians to accuse themselves: our land is great and plentiful, but there is no order in it, go reign and own us. What a wonderful example of moral purity and spiritual beauty! With the adoption of Christianity, this natural tribal property of the Russian people is aggravated and the Russian people are able to work miracles ... At the same time, Vladyka recalls the time of troubles and the way out of it, the reflection of Napoleon, the peaceful act of liberating the peasants. In conclusion, the eminent speaker expressed his desire that the present school be national and ecclesiastical. Vladyka presented the school with a beautiful Image of the Savior, whose teaching and precepts should form the basis of the knowledge that is communicated here.
Representatives from the inhabitants of the village of Yuryevets thanked the Archpastor with a special address and by offering him an icon depicting St. Alexy the man of God, whose name the Archbishop bears. The address was read by the teacher of the newly opened school.
“On this joyful and unforgettable day for us, the day of the opening in our native village of a parochial school, rare in appearance and amenities, arranged by Your Eminence, our hearts are filled with a feeling of boundless love and gratitude to You, Most Gracious Archpastor. Could we, simple, poor people, imagine that someday a benefactor will appear who will give us and our children the opportunity to receive the light of true teaching? We could not even earn Our favor, only boundless love for our flock, the desire to see them enlightened and apparent kindness forced you to erect this wonderful building. Now our children, for the most part, deprived of the light of teaching, in this building, under the shadow and guidance of the Orthodox Church, will be enlightened by teaching, having in the person of you the Most Reverend and Wise leader.
Favor, Most Reverend Vladyka, for the beneficence rendered to us, to accept from us this holy image of St. Alexis, the man of God, whose name you bear. May He keep your precious life for the moral and mental prosperity of your flock on long years. We, in our simple hearts, will offer up a prayer to God to grant you good health, and we command all our offspring to remember and commemorate our Benefactor in prayer.
The representative from the Zemstvo, L. N. Kapatsinsky, delivered the following speech:
“Your Eminence. Allow me, a modest public figure, on behalf of the Zemstvo, as a member of the School Council, to greet you on this national holiday, when all of us who have arrived here are experiencing such gratifying, bright moments. Welcoming you as the creator of a new hotbed of public education, I cannot but say a few words in passing about the role of parochial schools that they have played in the history of our fatherland. Both monasteries and parochial schools were the first pioneers in the creation of enlightenment for the masses in Rus', and the first rays of light, rays of knowledge illuminated the darkness that had reigned until then through the windows of monasteries and parochial schools. We should not forget about the hard struggle that the first enlighteners had to wage against the inveterate inertia of the people. And only with a warm word and their example, the rural shepherds, these great workers in the field of the people, convinced the population of the need and benefits of enlightenment. After all, the parochial schools were built not by a rich owner - our Zemstvo, but they were sculpted by a poor hard-working village priest, asking the villagers for a piece of land and heating and security of the school. May there always be in our hearts at least the memory of these creators of public education selflessly devoted to their holy cause. Years have passed, much has changed in the internal routine of our country. Public self-consciousness was stirred up, whole cadres of the Russian intelligentsia were created, and at the single word of the Great Reformer of Russia, the Russian Zemstvo Self-Government was created. Among the first tasks Zemstvo took care of the education of our people. And if at that time our parochial schools, like a weary knight, would lay down their sword and spear and yield their great post to their elder brother, then the merit of the parochial schools would be endlessly great and a fair assessment would take the best pages in history of Russian education. But this knight did not get tired, but inspired by some kind of radiant power, he still holds the banner entrusted to him high, and only the army around him grows, increasing every year more and more in the form of a thousandth mass of our peasant children and youth. There exists among the broad masses of our intelligentsia an instilled conviction by someone that the parochial schools have already outlived their time, that it is time for them to leave the matter of public education in the hands of the Zemstvo, there is also the conviction that the Zemstvo is supposedly waging some sort of struggle with schools. This conviction has its origins in those times when parochial schools were more like schools of literacy, when the village deacon taught a little bit of everything in them, and of course it was difficult to ask for a broad plan and extensive knowledge from such a folk school. But few people are interested in what has happened over these many years in the development of the parochial school, almost none of our intelligentsia has probably never seen what they teach and how they teach at the present time in these schools. As a member of the Zemstvo School Council, I became interested in the reasons for the above convictions, and in this case I cannot but express my deep gratitude to the highly respected Vasily Gavrilovich Dobronravov, who first forced me to come close to this painful issue. And now I am happy to testify before you, Vladyka, before all the distinguished guests present here, that teaching in parochial schools now does not leave much to be desired, that all the complaints about this school in this area are the result of complete ignorance of this school. Having repeatedly taken exams in parochial schools, I was surprised at the depth of knowledge that the students showed in the field of the Law of God, the Russian language and History. Let our Zemstvo schools have a broader program, let the student get acquainted with a whole range of general education sciences in them, parochial schools already have a program, but the field is plowed deeper, there is no superficial knowledge, but the whole program breathes something strong, healthy. And do not believe, Vladyka, that in our county, at least, there is some kind of dissension between zemstvo and parochial schools. As two sisters who love each other, both schools do a great holy deed, as mothers meet peasant children, these poor orphans, and with their love, their caress, they bring a lot of light into the heart of the child, and by opening the horizon of knowledge before him, they create from him a good, healthy son of ours. great motherland of Russia. Our peasant is not spoiled either by kindness or sympathy. He sees little joy in his life, he sees little moral support in a moment of spiritual sorrow, in the days of everyday grief and worries. That is why - he endlessly appreciates everything that is given to him to improve his peasant life. And I sensitively experience in my soul the festive mood that reigns today among the local villagers of Yuryevets, when every peasant from this day has the right to say that he has his own peasant school in the village. This school will be the pride of this village, and no matter whose name the bright Builder names it, in the heart of the peasant this school will always be connected with the name of the Builder, Archbishop Alexy. What can I wish, Vladyka, to you, as a tireless sower in the field of the people? As the horizon spreads wide from the window of this school and cloudless distances are visible, let the horizon of light and knowledge also wide open before those who will take our place here tomorrow, before the peasant children, this faithful and strong support of our faith and our homeland! I will also say a word to you, to whom the Lord has entrusted the holy and great task of educating and raising a child. Let the old but eternally young words of Nekrasov “sow the reasonable, the good, the eternal!” Sow! The Russian people will say thank you sincerely.” And from myself I will add: “Let all your work be warmed by the words of the poet like the sun! With God for business! Forward!"
His Grace Eugene, Bishop of Yuryevsky, on behalf of the members of the Diocesan School Council, thanked His Eminence for His attentive attitude towards parochial schools. He compared his attitude towards the schools with the attitude of Moses towards the daughters of Jethro when they were shepherding the flocks.
After the prayer service, tea was offered to those present.
“Decree of His Imperial Majesty, Autocrat of All Russia, from the Most Holy Governing Synod.

« HOLIDAY "BOWS"(D. Yuryevets, Vlad. u.).
Upon taking patronage over the village of Yuryevets through sent representatives, the printing workers wished to see and get acquainted with the peasants of the sponsored village.
To this end, on June 24, Sunday, the celebration of the bond between the worker and the peasant was scheduled.
Departure.
On Sunday, June 24, at 5 pm, from the premises of the printing house, trucks crowded with workers and young people set off.
On the first one, a red poster catches the eye:
- "Greetings to the peasants of the village of Yuryevets from the boss - printing workers and journalists of the city of Vladimir."
On the same car, gifts for the sponsored village were also stored - the most necessary items for the school and ... smoking paper for smoking peasants.
The second flaunts a poster with the slogan:
- "Long live the union of workers and peasants - the guarantee of victory over the bourgeoisie."
Football players from the members of the RKSM-printers and a wind music orchestra also ride on this car.
Aviation campaign.
Outside the city, in the Yamskaya Sloboda, a truck is driven by a passenger car, also with ours, also to a sponsored village ...
50 people were seated in cars - they talk, joke, sing - it's fun.
But not only fun - we do not forget to agitate on the road for aviation, for the creation of an air fleet. From the cars we throw a stack of “ultimatum” leaflets, they are quickly snatched up by the staring public and immediately read.
It’s like white doves flicker behind the car of the leaflet and this makes it somehow even more fun.
And we were waiting for you - we went to meet you.
In the village, people can still be seen from a distance near the school. - We drive in with music, calling all the peasants into the street.
Everyone goes to school. Children do not keep up with adults and run at a run, looking at the uniforms of football players and the trumpets of musicians.
We disembark, say hello, a few exclamations:
“And we thought you weren’t coming.” After all, we all went to meet you outside the village. Seven villages have come to our village today and everyone is jealous of us that we have such a boss...
The school has a solemn meeting.
Music plays "Internationale". Now a solemn meeting is opening with the transfer of gifts from the boss to the peasants.
There is a table on the porch of the school, next to it is a sponsored commission, chairmen of village councils (there are two societies in the village), old peasants hold red posters they brought.
Comrade Vinogradova says:
“We have come to you in order to join you in battle against darkness and ignorance, we have come to you to fraternize with you, to get acquainted and become friends seriously and for a long time ... Long live the closest alliance of workers and peasants. Hooray!..
Hundreds of healthy fresh voices pick up this cheer and it rushes through the fields, awakening sleeping fields, driving away darkness and ignorance...
Next comes the handing over of gifts. They brought notebooks, pens, ink, posters, portraits of the leaders of the revolution, geographic Maps, globe, several books, etc.
Interviews, dancing, football.
After the meeting, we break into groups. Yuryevsky football players and our team immediately launched a competition near the school. - The guys get excited, sometimes they scold each other hard, but that's nothing, it's at the moment of the fuse. They will stop playing and will become even stronger comradely.
Ours have broken up among the peasants and are having “some” conversations, while the youth have arranged dances ...
Suddenly, instead of the “polka”, it’s Russian ... In an instant, a circle forms and an old peasant knocks out in the middle “to straighten his bones”, “yes, such figures begin to set off”, which would be shameful for the young or the other.
Russian dance and ours.
- This is our way! .. some gray-haired old man grunts, nodding his beard, and he himself is also closer to the circle. Legs itchy...
- And you wali, old man, because the holiday is nonce, and even what. We have a revolution, dance, grandfather! ..
- Oh, yes, yes, that's so grandfather! .. Eh-eh, - eh-eh! ..
The rain interfered.
I wanted to arrange a meeting with the youth, to organize an alliance and those who wished to eat even from other villages, but the rain interfered - I had to get into cars and drive to the house ...
- You already come to us and next Sunday, we will meet, we will go far beyond the village! ..
- “Absolutely,” our guys answer, and their eyes are shining.
- How good they are, how kind - you won’t get lost with such! ..
- Well, football players, how much did they give you? ..
- We are equally divided, golik; to the naked eye - harmless.
But their field is very bad, quite uncomfortable.
- Take them to the city.
- Well, we’ll go again ourselves, and then we’ll call them, they won’t refuse tea and visit us on a holiday.
- We will show them everything and take them to the theater.
And for a long time our people talk about the trip to Yuryevets - everyone likes the trip, like the teacher, and the peasants, and the youth, and even the village itself ...
And the rain keeps pouring and pouring.
We got it, it helped, but it didn’t beat off the hunt for fellow peasants and will never beat it off ...
"(The newspaper" Appeal ", June 28, 1923).
On Sunday, July 8, 1923, having arrived in the sponsored village, the printing workers organized a cell of the RKSM from the youth of the village. The cell included 31 people, including 2 girls.
« On Bolshaya Vladimirskaya.
Appeal receives statements that on Moskovsky highway, near the villages of Yuryevets and Rukava, robbers from time to time attack passers-by, rob them and inflict severe beatings with stones, etc. They attack at dusk and even around 9 o'clock in the morning .
The writers ask Gubrozysk to visit these places and catch the robbers. One of such places is called "Bird's Nests" (newspaper "Call", October 18, 1923).

Yuryevets was founded in 1958 as a settlement at a plant for the manufacture and impregnation of supports.
On June 9, 1964, the settlement of Yuryevets of the Vladimir rural district was classified as a workers' settlement (urban-type settlement) and transferred to the control of the Vladimir City Council of Workers' Deputies. This historic decision was made in the realities of Khrushchev's reforms. Then there were two regional councils - industrial and rural. In order to subordinate Yuryevets to the Vladimir City Council, a joint decision was required by the executive committees of both regional Soviets of Workers' Deputies. The rapprochement between Yuryevets and Vladimir continued: since 1973, when districts appeared in Vladimir, the village was assigned to the Leninsky district. At the same time, the structures of village power were still preserved.
Yuryevets finally lost signs of independence on January 1, 2006, when it became a microdistrict as part of the Leninsky district of the city of Vladimir.

bird diseases;
vaccine preparations for little-studied diseases;
molecular diagnostics of bird diseases;
biotechnology;
microbiology with a testing center;
molecular virology;
epizootology of bird diseases;
applied virology;
cattle diseases.

The Center works on the problems of molecular biology of pathogens of infectious diseases and molecular epizootology in order to improve existing and develop new tools for diagnosing and preventing diseases in farm animals.
Diagnostic studies to identify and differentiate pathogens and / or antibodies to them are carried out in the following areas:
bird diseases;
diseases of large and small cattle;
swine diseases;
diseases of carnivores.

Laboratory scientists provide consultations on diagnostic methods and measures to combat animal diseases, diagnostic studies using both traditional (RSK, RDP, RID, RIGA, PH, RH) and the most modern research methods (ELISA, MFA, PCR and sequencing genome fragments of pathogens).
About 1,000 samples of pathological material and over 80,000 samples of blood sera are delivered to the Center annually from various regions for examination.
Ministry of Agriculture Russian Federation ARRIAH has been entrusted with the functions of the Basic Center for Molecular Diagnostics (since 1995) and the Federal Diagnostic Center for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy and Animal Rabies (since 1999).

The Center produces more than 200 highly effective drugs for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of all animal species, incl. about 70 vaccines, 70 diagnostic drugs, more than 60 chemotherapeutic drugs.
