The Costa Blanca region is known for its beautiful beaches. This is one of the most attractive places on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Thousands of foreign tourists come here every year.

Delivery to the passenger terminal will take a minimum of time. The shortest safe route is selected, taking into account the road situation, traffic jams, and other nuances.

This is already a modern city, and when I want civilization after a “wild” vacation, I take this route. Because this route is very well known to me.

Travel by car

There are toll and free roads in Spain, and the latter are always an alternative to the former. So between Torrevieja and Alicante there is a wonderful free road along which you can completely safely get to your destination.

You need to leave Torrevieja in such a way as to get onto the N-332 road. It runs through the entire length of the territory of Torrevieja, so driving through it will be an opportunity to say goodbye to these places. At the exit from the village the road begins to look like this:

As you can see, two lanes in each direction are quite enough. True, in the summer there are usually many more cars on the road, since many people try to take advantage of the free road.

The landscapes along the road will be purely resort-like. On the right hand there are houses and vegetation, behind which the sea can be seen.

And on the left side there are uneven terrain, also covered with local flora.

And if you add sunset to all this beauty, you definitely won’t want to leave these regions.

There are detailed signs along the entire road showing where to go. True, getting off the road is quite problematic, since you need to drive along the same route, without turning anywhere. The road surface is of good quality, there is no damage on it, the road markings are also applied very clearly.

On the road you will need to go around the village of Los Secanos. The road goes around it on the western side and goes further north. You won’t be able to see anything in particular in the city, since on the right side you will come across more and more commercial buildings, and there are no important architectural monuments or simply beautiful objects in Los Secanos.

After Los Secanos there will be essentially one continuous zone of small-scale development, but this element does not have much impact on vehicle traffic.

Upon completion, you will need to cross a long bridge across the bay. This place vaguely resembles Sivash, those who have been there will understand, the views are approximately the same as on Sivash - thickets and bays.

Once the bridge ends, we can assume that two-thirds of the path has been completed. There are about seventeen minutes left to go. A sign that Alicante is very close will be the airport buildings on the left side. After them, you need to drive no more than five minutes - that’s all, then you can look for the place where you decided to stay during your stay in Alicante.

It takes no more than an hour to travel by car, so I personally considered this option to be the most convenient and comfortable for me; fortunately, renting a car on the spot, even if you don’t have your own, has never been a problem.

Train ride

Unfortunately, there is no train connection between Alicante and Torrevieja. The railway network in Spain, in terms of coverage of the country's territory, is still very far from the French, Dutch, and German ones.

Bus ride

Due to the lack of railway connections, the only way to get from Torrevieja to Alicante by public transport is by bus. Local transport is provided by a bus company.

There are flights to Alicante and to Alicante Airport - it is important not to confuse them and not to take an unnecessary flight. The bus takes about an hour and looks like this:

It is very comfortable inside, there is air conditioning.

Departures start in the morning at 07:15, then at 07:35 and then at intervals of about 50 minutes until 21:40. Thus, you can leave even in the evening. Just don’t count on night flights that are not available.

Considering the complete lack of alternative options, the bus option is, in principle, not bad.

Where to buy tickets

This is currently not available on the carrier’s website, so you will have to buy it at the bus station, Calle del Mar, 40.

Ticket price

The fare to Alicante is 5 euros.

Flying an airplane

There are no flights in this direction.

Bottom line

As you can see, public transport is represented only by bus. If you plan to stay in Spain for a long time, then I would recommend renting a car, unless, of course, you intend to travel with your own.

Despite the abolition of zero ppm (now the possible total permissible error when measuring blood alcohol levels is 0.16 mg per 1 liter of exhaled air), drinking alcohol while driving is strictly prohibited.

“The large, bright airport terminal with lacy metal structures is easy to navigate, but there are few places to charge mobile phones. The check-in counters for Russian flights are at the very end, there is an employee who speaks Russian. In front of the security check area there is a very nice restaurant, we drank “farewell” coffee there.”

We have Finnish visas, we went to Tampere by car. Renaire sells tickets without seats - who will take what upon boarding; for 10 euros you can buy priority entrance - Priority.
